These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Morela mobile application (“Morela,” the “app”), published by Trekka (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading, accessing, or using Morela, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. Who can use Morela
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use Morela. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
2. Your account
You are responsible for activity that happens under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. Let us know promptly if you believe your account has been used without your authorization.
3. Subscriptions and billing
Morela offers optional paid subscriptions (“Morela Plus”) that unlock premium features. Subscription options are:
- Monthly — $3.99 USD per month.
- Annual — $29.99 USD per year.
- Free trial — a 7-day free trial is available for new subscribers. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will begin and you will be charged.
Billing is handled by Apple through your App Store account using StoreKit. By subscribing, you authorize Apple to charge your Apple ID payment method. Subscriptions automatically renew unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your device Settings under your Apple ID → Subscriptions. Prices may vary by region and are subject to change; any change will apply only to future billing periods.
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple's policies. We generally cannot issue refunds directly.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Morela for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape, or interfere with the app or its underlying services.
- Abuse, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or those of our providers.
- Upload content you do not have the right to, or that is unlawful, harmful, or infringing.
- Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the app or its content.
5. Intellectual property
Morela, including its design, branding, and software, is owned by Trekka and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the app for its intended purpose. The pantry data you enter remains yours.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability
Please read this section carefully. It limits our liability and explains important things about how Morela works.

Recipes, ingredient suggestions, and pantry recommendations in Morela are AI-generated and provided “as is.” Morela does not guarantee the accuracy of cooking times, temperatures, ingredient substitutions, or nutritional information. You are solely responsible for verifying food safety, checking for allergens, and using your own judgment before preparing or consuming any suggested recipe. Morela is not liable for foodborne illness, allergic reactions, or any harm resulting from following an AI-generated recipe.
No responsibility for food condition or safety
Morela tracks pantry items based on your input (manual entry, barcode scan, or AI Vision scan) for organizational purposes only. Morela has no way to verify the actual physical condition, freshness, spoilage, or safety of any food item in your possession.
You are solely responsible for inspecting your own food, checking expiration dates, and using your own judgment about whether an ingredient is still safe to consume — regardless of what is shown in the app, including any streak, freshness nudge, or pantry status indicator. Morela is not responsible for food poisoning, illness, or any harm resulting from consuming spoiled, expired, mishandled, or otherwise unsafe ingredients, whether or not those ingredients were tracked in the app.

Morela is not a substitute for professional nutritional, dietary, or medical advice. If you have food allergies, medical conditions, or special dietary needs, consult a qualified professional. Do not rely on Morela for decisions that affect your health.
“As is” / “as available”
The app and all content are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that recipe results will meet your expectations.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Morela / Trekka and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or personal injury, arising from or related to your use of (or inability to use) the app — even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Liability cap
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the app is limited to the amount you paid for your subscription in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim — or $0 if you are a free-tier user.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Morela / Trekka and its developer from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your misuse of the app or your violation of these Terms.
7. Changes to the app and these Terms
We may update, change, or discontinue features of the app at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time; when we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of Morela after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to Morela if you violate these Terms or use the app in a way that could cause harm or legal liability. You may stop using the app at any time and delete your account.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the app will be subject to the courts located in New York, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
